Blue Dot Swing is a jazz band deeply rooted in the traditions and styles pioneered by Django Reinhardt and the Hot Club de France. This trio is comprised of seasoned Austin musicians, each bringing their unique talents and years of experience to the group.

Founded by the gifted Will Dickerson and Jacob Harrell, Blue Dot Swing is a project that allows them to introduce the city to the genre.

Will Dickerson has spent significant time in France and in Montreal studying the jazz manouche genre. His time spent performing in the cafes of Paris allowed him to immerse himself in the music and learn from modern virtuosos. Will has given back by teaching workshops at "Django in June,” an annual gathering of gypsy jazz artists.

Born and raised in Austin, Jacob Harrell has spent over a decade playing music all over town and in the surrounding Texas Hill Country. After studying music at ACC, Jacob decided to pursue it professionally and even produced projects of his own. You might recognize him from fellow Austin jazz band Rent Party, with whom he also performs.

Their repertoire is a blend of jazz standards, contemporary pop songs reimagined, and original compositions that showcase their musicianship and creativity. Setlists can be customized for special events or settings.
